Shaolin Monk Teaches SDSS Instructors

GrandMaster DeMascco introduces Shaolin monk We were honored to have Grandmaster DeMasco’s Shaolin Brother, Yanxu, meet with our instructors while traveling in North America.

On Saturday, May 9, 2015, SDSS Instructors gathered at SDSS of Keene to train with the Shaolin Monk, Yanxu. Grandmaster is the first non-asian in the world to be named a Grandmaster of the Shaolin Temple. He is now the Temple’s International Ambassador. For Grandmaster DeMasco, however, Yanxu is his spiritual brother, and the Temple is simply, “home.”  Only someone with Grandmaster’s status could bring us such an extraordinary opportunity.

Yanxu taught a number of authentic Temple defense techniques. He also shared insights on the philosophy and teachings of Shaolin. It is events like this that enable us to bring only the most authentic Shaolin martial arts to our students.
