Over 200 competed and over 1000 were in attendance at the Shaolin Olympics Connecticut State Qualifier! From 12-5 at the Norwalk Double Tree Hotel, students from all over the state vied for a spot on Team Connecticut. “I was impressed by the level of competition this year,” said SDSS President and Senior Master Mikael Meyer. “It really says something about our instructors. Andit says something even more about our SDSS families, who support these kids week after week. These kids were incredible.”
Events included Shaolin Defensive Techniques, Sparring, Weapons, and Forms. Team Connecticut will be well represented at the Shaolin Olympics National Tournament on November 1st.
