SDSS of Darien took to the 49th annual River Ramble festival at Pinkney Park this past Saturday. From 11-3pm, the day was full of breaking boards, obstacle courses, and an army of kids ready to try a Kung Fu class. Chief Instructor of Darien Chris Brooks, along with Academy Instructors Lauren Carsen and Tim Vogelman, operated the obstacle course and board breaking stations throughout the festivities.

“This event is our favorite of the year, and the kids always love it!” says Chris. Kids and adults alike were also able to sign up for lessons at SDSS. Regardless of age, anyone can take something from SDSS, whether it be self-defense, learning life skills, getting in shape, or to find a place of control and peace in one's life. Our core principles teach children life-long values and empower them to succeed in everything they do. SDSS of Darien has coordinated with River Ramble for several years now, so if you are looking for a chance to start your training, our doors are always open!
